Ukrainian Flag Beadwoven Earrings ~ Fundraising Jewelry to Support Ukraine

I have created these beautiful Native American fringe earrings in tribute to my many Ukrainian friends and family members.

I am Metis, and growing up in Alberta, many of my best friends were either first or second generation Ukrainian. Several of my cousins have married people of Ukrainian descent, and my first serious boyfriend in University was a second generation Ukrainian who spoke his language fluently and who's mother taught me to make Ukrainian Easter Eggs the traditional way.

The Ukrainian people have a long history of working alongside and befriending/marrying Native people. In fact, our "Kookum Scarves" were originally traded between the settler women from the Ukraine and our Grandmothers/Great Grandmothers because they were so beautiful.

I will be donating $10 from the sale of each pair of these earrings and $5 from the "Kookum Scarf" earrings to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.

These earrings are made with high quality TOHO 11/0 glass seed beads in Periwinkle Blue and Bright Yellow. I have added them to gold plated stainless steel earwires. They are 4 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide. Very light and they swing beautifully when you wear them. These are my own design and I stayed up until 2 in the morning last night designing and making them to offer as a fundraiser.

You can get them on the regular earwires, on lever backs, studs or as clip-on's - your choice :)
