This unique, unisex pendant is the perfect statement piece. It blends fantasy with earthiness and Native spirituality. Both myself and my husband are Metis and I express this Aboriginal side in unique and non-traditional as well as traditional styling in my jewelry.
This piece came to me in a dream and I had to make it up immediately. I have had the centerpiece for a couple of years and wasn't sure what I would do with it until now.
The necklace is 20 inches long and closed with a simple copper lobster claw clasp. The stone chips are Moss Agate or Tree Agate. The hair pipe beads are bleached Buffalo Bone and the center of the Great Stag focal has been accented with a lovely green Paua shell cabochon.
To me this represents the spirit of the forest and just looking at it takes me back home to the Yukon Territories in northern Canada where I grew up.
It is raw, rugged and yet somehow, sweet and dream like at the same time. It can be worn by anyone, no matter your gender as it expresses both sides of human nature in a yin/yang blend. The green, white, copper and bronze tones are cool and refreshing.
