Eco Friendly Upcycled Buffalo Bone & Grey Baroque Pearl Triad Pendant Necklace ~ One of a Kind Native American Jewelry
This pendant is handmade using Buffalo bone that I have upcycled from a ceremonial buffalo harvested for the feast during our Sundance in July of 2018. As Cree/Metis people we are taught that all parts of this Spirit Animal are sacred and gifts from The Creator, and as such they must not be wasted. The meat is used for the feast at the end of the Sundance ceremony, the hides are tanned and given as gifts in future ceremonies, and all the the bones, teeth, skull, etc. are used in the making of jewelry and other decorative items. This bone is cross sections of one of the smaller leg bones. I have inset lovely grey baroque pearls into the design.
The pendant is in the form of the sacred triad (sacred to MANY religions) and is approximately 2 inches by 2 inches (55 x 55mm). I have suspended it from a 22 inch (56cm) antique silver finish stainless steel chain and added a floral detailed lobster claw clasp (also in antique silver finish) to it.
This can be worn by anyone of any gender. It comes gift boxed, and I can add a single, hand stamped initial charm to the clasp prior to shipping to personalize it for you.
