Driftwood, Coral, Bone & Turquoise Aboriginal Pendant
Make your stand with this large, chunky Aboriginal styled non-binary pendant necklace. I am Cree/Metis and I use many of natures gifts in my unique creations.
I call this piece "Travels of our Ancestors" and I have used driftwood, red coral, white buffalo bone hair pipe, black stone and genuine turquoise chips, all fused together on a pure copper chain.
The chain is 18 inches in length and closes with a simple lobster claw clasp. I can add a single, hand stamped initial charm to the clasp prior to shipping to personalize this for you.
The driftwood was found on my beach here in northern Alberta, Canada and is approximately 5 inches long. I have used 6mm red coral beads and long ivory coloured buffalo bone hair pipe beads to suspend the round black stone focal.
The focal is approximately 1 inch across and it has a spiral channel carved into it which I have filled with genuine turquoise chips.
The pendant itself is approximately 5 inches wide by 4 inches to the bottom of the black stone circle.
I call it "Travels of our Ancestors" because of all the mixed elements of driftwood from the lake, coral from the ocean, buffalo bone from the plains and the spiral design of the turquoise inlay represents the spiraling out of our lives (seasons) as well as the galaxy above us and the turning of the wheels of time.
This piece is one of a kind and cannot be recreated - once it's gone, it's gone.
