These are the tips of a deer antler that has been naturally shed. I found it during one of my daily walks around our property. It is well weathered and the wild animals (probably coyote) have been gnawing at it as evidenced by the multiple tooth marks.
As Metis people we are taught to make use of all of the gifts the Creator gives us, so we use items like this antler tip and give thanks for it's uniqueness and beauty.
I have added a simple green magnesite stone bead to it with a basic wire wrap using pure copper jewelry wire and strung it on an adjustable suede leather cord. The stopper beads are traditional turquoise coloured Pony Beads - so named due to their traditional use by Native American people to decorate their horses.
The pendant is a little over 3 inches (7.5 cm) long and about a 3/4 inch (2 cm) wide. The cord is made of genuine suede leather and is adjustable from about 20 inches to 26 inches (50 to 65 cm) long.
This would make a great gift for the person who loves the outdoors, camping, hunting, etc.
The pendants in the pictures are the ACTUAL ones you will be receiving.
