These are genuine BC Nephrite Jade cabochons mined in British Columbia, Canada. Regarded as the highest quality jade in the world, it is a lovely dark green with no visible imperfections. Dark Green is the most sought after color of jade as it is the most rare. Long reserved for the Chinese Imperial throne, it is now available to those of us without Royal blood as well :) It is believed in Chinese tradition that Green Jade symbolized the five virtues of humanity, which are courage, modesty, justice, compassion, and wisdom. Therefore, having this piece of stone will also imbue its wearer with these gifts!
